Collects and correlates patient information to assist the supervisor team with planning and coordination of services.
Works with department leaders and supervisors to obtain staff as directed via phone, discussion or ShiftHound.
Participates in the interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings, group and individual conferences, regarding patient flow and discharge planning.
Manages the edit log entries in the Kronos timekeeping system, for nursing departments and accurate payroll.
Maintains logs for tracking and trending of attendance, on-call and call off dates etc.
Assists with transfers in and out of the facility and maintains the HSC transfer center dashboard by monitoring transfer requests and entering patient information.
Assists with audits of processes and participates in performance improvment activities.
Assists with patient placement, bed control and and care needs as directed.
Acts as a liaison, as needed, between physicians, staff and the hospital supervisors.
Ensures departmental and house wide communication is shared throughout the facility.
Works in conjunction with the charge nurses and supervisors as needed
Supports departments through collaboration and information sharing
Works closely with staff, providers and the medical staff directors.
Manages and sustains efficient and effective staffing plan utilization standards of professional practice, while balancing the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Maintains strict confidentiality regarding knowledge of all patient information (HIPAA) staff and confidential business.
Responsible for establishing and maintaining healthy relationships with all staff members and providers.
Other duties as assigned.
